We must, each of us, identify and define our own individual beauty.

Beauty is not a universal concept. Beauty is an individual premise.

There is no such thing as an ugly face. What you find ugly, is what you see as different from yourself, different from your norm. Look closer and you will discover the beauty. Leave your preconceived notions behind.

Blank your mind from popular ideals. Let your instincts guide you as you gaze upon this face that is unknown. Be an individual who appreciates the uniqueness that each of us carries.

Even as you admire what society has deemed as classical beauties, look closer to find the imperfections, those small blemishes upon such glamour is what transforms a beautiful face into an individual person.

The Beauty Of The Individual

My Birthday

Tomorrow is my forty-sixth year on this earth.

I opened my eyes and inhaled
I closed my eyes and exhaled

Today is my forty-sixth year on this earth

I open my eyes and inhale
I close my eyes and exhale

Today I feel no different then yesterday
Yet they tell me I am one year older

As I open my eyes, I ponder my time before today
As I close my eyes, I wonder of my time after today

On this day, my forty-sixth year on earth
Time passes as time always does

From one minute to the next hour
Days go by and become months

And as the months turn into years
Decades accumulate to the here and now

As I open my eyes to welcome my forty-sixth year
I close my eyes in farewell to my forty-five past years
